Brethren,
Here are some suggested guidelines that I received from WB Gary Walker, regarding the bus trip to Columbus.  We didn't fill as many buses as we had hoped for, thus, here is the revised schedule for the bus departures.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  Unfortunately for those not riding along, they'll miss a great trip!  Lets have fun shall we?

Thanks

Brethren,

Here are some guidelines that may be helpful for the “No Muss, No Fuss Bus Trip” to Columbus on June 21st, 2008.

Buses in Lorain County leave promptly at:

6:00 A.M. Amherst Super K on Leavitt Rd.

6:15 A.M. Oberlin Lodge on St. Rt. 58

6:30 A.M. Wellington Municipal Parking Lot (Behind the Historic Town Hall)

Buses in Cuyohoga County leave promptly at:

6:00 A.M. Lyndhurst Lodge

6:00 A.M. Berea Temple (Quarry Lodge) 366 Eastland Rd.

Each Mason should have a white apron.  Past Master aprons are okay.  Attire is dark slacks and a light shirt.  Each attendee should bring along a folding chair.  Hats are OK (logos should be Masonic or Affiliate body if not plain.), sunscreen is probably a good idea! Remember, the sun can still burn on a cloudy day. Rain gear might be a good choice if there is a chance of bad weather.

There will be plenty of room below coach in the luggage compartments for hats, chairs, instruments, etc.  Light refreshments will be furnished.  You may bring a small cooler if you have your own preference for refreshment.

The buses will take us to the Columbus Nationwide Arena.  Masons that are able to walk the approximately 1 mile parade route will start parading at 10:00 A.M., led by the Grand Lodge Officers.  Masons that are not walking in the parade, and our guests, will take the bus to the Statehouse Annex (the east side of the Capitol building) to greet marchers as they arrive. After the Rededication Ceremony and the 200th Anniversary Celebration, the buses will take us back to the Ohio Historical Village for the free family picnic.
